Wilderness or Promised Land? Last week Bill finished up with our messages on the Road Map to Freedom. Even though the Sermon Series is over, our Journey isn’t is it!? As long as we’re living, we’re on a Journey with God or against Him. Bill shared last week John 10:10 – The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give them a rich and satisfying or Abundant life. “Life in all it’s fullness.” We can be alive and still not LIVING… Jesus purpose is to give us an “Abundant” life, a “Rich and Satisfying”life. • Abundant = Rich, Overflowing, beyond measure, excessive, immeasurable, infinite, limitless… • Satisfied = Ecstatic, Rejoicing, Triumphant, Joyful, Pleased, Gratified, Thankful… 1 Corinthians 2:9 - “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, and no mind has imagined what God has prepared for those who love him.” Those who love Him… Those who live to please God… striving to live by Faith and Obedience to Him! Ephesians 3:20 - withGod’s power working in us, God can do much, much more than anything we can ask or imagine. God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask, think or imagine according to His power and Spirit within us… IF we belong to Him! More often than not, when we mention “Abundant Life” most think about Prosperity… Success… Money… Things… Possessions… Worldly Accomplishments… Tom Brady – • QB for the New England Patriots • 42 years old… • He’s won 6 Super Bowls. • Recent salary adjustment and he now makes 23 million a year. o $1.9 mill per game. o $10,000 per min. • He’s married to Brazilian Supermodel Gisele, they have 3 kids. • Together they are one of the three highest paid celebrity couples in the world - $540 Million in Net Worth. Most would say He has an Abundant… a Rich, Satisfying Life? Video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-TA4_fVkv3c That was filmed in 2005, at 27 He had only won 3 Super bowls and the thrill of winning was still great, but he’s asking the question… “There’s got to be more than this? This can’t be what it’s all cracked up to be.” And I’ve said the same thing! “There’s got to be more than this? This can’t be what it’s all cracked up to be.” There IS MORE… THERE’S A LOT MORE TO LIFE but it’s not IN this world or OF this world! It’s only found in a personal Relationship with Jesus Christ and living a life of FAITH in Him. We discover the Abundant Life through: Our Surrender to Christ, Sacrificing our life for Christ, Serving Christ, Sharing our Faith in Christ which is Believing in Him and His Word, Trusting in Him and His Word, Obeying Him and His Word. And all of that is exercised in a community called the Body of Christ. Are we experiencing the Abundant Life that Jesus purposed to give us or are we still in the Wilderness!? What’s the fruit of where we are? (There’s no fruit in the Wilderness!) Where are you on that Road Map? What do you need to do? What action do you need to take in your relationship with Christ and living a life of Faith that Pleases Him? You guys remember the Story the Israelites being set Free From Egypt. (Story of Moses….
