Visible – Involved – Available – Friend Awesome word from Mr Ted last week! Roadmap to Freedom ~ The Bible is our complete Road Map, and all of our points are drawn from God’s word. 1. Freedom: True freedom exists only IN and THROUGH Jesus. 2. Biker: Acts 1:8… You will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, Judea, Samaria and the ends of the earth. What’s your community? Who’s your one? 3. Church: NOT A Church, but HIS Church. The Body of Christ, the “Called Out Ones” who are a witness to the world of who He is and what we have in Him! 4. Making Disciples - Doing life together with an intentionality toward being like Jesus and teaching others to do the same by our actions and words. Disciple ~ Someone who follows and adheres to the teaching of another. Some one who learns from another and them does what they have learned. We all follow someone and have someone following us. So in that sense, we’re all disciples and have disciples. But is it of Jesus? Who, or what are you pointing to? “A Disciple of Jesus that’s discipling another, is just one beggarpointing another beggar to the Bread of Life!” We all need to be Discipled and need to be Discipling others! That’s the picture of the Christian Faith in action. That’s what’s happening when we “Do Life Together”! So, Who’s Your ONE?! Who’s ONE are YOU? 6:00 Johnny Hunt @Temple “Who’s Your One” Tour. This week on our “Roadmap” we’re looking at Being Visible, Involved, Available and a Friend. To do that, I’d like to walk through our Vision & Mission Statement and see biblically how that’s a picture of ‘Doing Life Together’. We’ll look at it in two parts. 1) HOW we live the way we do. 2) WHY we live the way we do. Jesus is always the Goal! To Know Jesus & Introduce Others to Jesus so we can all become LIKE Jesus ~ then the process repeats. KNOW – SUBMIT – OBEY - MULTIPLY Vision & Mission Statement We will be visible, involved, available and a friend in our community. We will introduce people to Jesus Christ because we want them to belong, believe and become what God wants them to become. We will be visible, involved, available and a friend in our community. We ~ Freedom Biker Church ~ “We are the Church” Eph 4:15-16 ~ 15 Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ. 16 From him the whole body, joined and held together by every supporting ligament, grows and builds itself up in love, as each part does its work. Romans 12:4-5 ~ 4 Now as we have many parts in one body, and all the parts do not have the same function, 5 in the same way we who are many are one body in Christ and individually members of one another. we Will be ~ An expectation, not just of Freedom, but of God. Acts 1:8 ~ 8 But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Not a question, it’s just what people with the Holy Spirit do!) Jesus is our example... Jesus was intentional! we will be Visible ~ Jesus was intentional about being Visible. In the public eye. Everywhere He went, people were watching and listening, hearts were changed... Matt 5:14-16 ~ 14 “You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden. 15 Neither do people light a lamp and put it under a bowl. Instead they put it on its stand, and it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.
