06-25-17 – Sharing Our Faith If we’re SERIOUS about Christ, our Relationship with Christ, Following Christ… there are some things that are going to be evident in our life. We are “Surrendered” to Him: I completely and absolutely yield my rights… my wants… my ways… my will to the authority of Jesus Christ. In every area of my life (Spiritually, Mentally, Emotionally and Physically) I am Surrendered! We Sacrifice for Him: I’m not living for myself anymore… I’m living for Christ. I’m crucifying the “natural man” on a daily basis! Allowing the Supernatural man (The Holy Spirit in us) to grow, develop, mature and thrive in our life. Galatians 2:20 – My old self has been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. So I live in this earthly body by trusting in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. 2 Corinthians 5:15-20 NLT – 15 He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them. We Serve Him: Why? Because Jesus paid the price for our sin by dying on a cross for us. He was God’s sacrifice and ours. Because of the Mercy and Grace of God in Jesus Christ, we SERVE Him. How do we Serve? * Passionately! With everything we’ve got! * And with our S.H.A.P.E * S – Spiritual Gifts * H – Hearts Desire * A – Abilities * P – Personality * E – Experiences We Serve Christ as we Serve others… Who? * The Body of Christ. * Those who don’t know Christ. My Surrender, Sacrifice, Service… is a daily continuous cycle or process (INTIMATE RELATIONSHIP) until the day we die. It’s NOT “once and we’re done.” It’s everyday… The result of that Relationship, of the Surrender, Sacrifice, and Service is the SHARING of our Faith! SHARING of our Faith in Christ is the ACT of daily Surrender, Sacrifice and Service to the Lord. What do I mean by that…. there are basically two ways we Share our Faith in Christ. What we do and what we say. We Share Visibly and Verbally. * We Share Visibly: What I do (day in and day out on a consistent basis) speaks volumes about my Faith in Christ even if I never say a word! 2 Corinthians 4:4 – The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. When people “see” me… when they see my life… when they see my family… when they see the things I do… Do they “see” Christ?! What do my actions my life, my lifestyle communicate? Matthew 5:14-16 NLT – 14 “You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden. 15 No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house. 16 In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father. John 15:4-5 NLT – 4 Remain in me, and I will remain in you. For a branch cannot produce fruit if it is severed from the vine, and you cannot be fruitful unless you remain in me. 5 “Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from me you can do nothing. Ephesians 5:8 ESV – For at one time you were darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Walk as children of light. James 2:14-16 MSG– 14-17 Dear friends, do you think you’ll get anywhere in this if you learn all the right words but never do anything? Does merely talking about faith indicate that a perso...
