Revelation 22 – The End… And our NEW Beginning! Rev. 21 Recap – * God has created a new heaven and earth… “everything” will be made new… * Jesus has prepared a place for us in God’s house… so magnificent words can’t describe it! It’s like a Bride on her wedding day. Beautiful, Glorious, Magnificent… John is in awe! * The Lord God Almighty and the Lamb… will dwell with us… “Perfect” relationship, intimacy, fellowship, unity and worship of God, with God forever! (Which is what God has always wanted!) * No more… evil, sin, immorality, temptation, deceit, tears, pain, suffering, heartache… aches, pains, problems, worry, growing old… * A Perfect Place, Environment, Peace, People. No hidden thoughts, motives, agendas, attitudes, or actions. Absolute Holiness and Righteousness. * Complete, Absolute, Perfect… Joy, Peace, Happiness, Satisfaction, Contentment, Fulfillment because we are finally at Home with the Lord God Almighty and the Lamb! * IT’S FOREVER! Revelation 22 – Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 down the middle of the great street of the city. On each side of the river stood the tree of life, bearing twelve crops of fruit, yielding its fruit every month. And the leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be any curse. The throne of God and of the Lamb will be in the city, and his servants will serve him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 There will be no more night. They will not need the light of a lamp or the light of the sun, for the Lord God will give them light. And they will reign for ever and ever. The River of the water of life flows from the throne of God and of the Lamb! Our Thirst for ANYTHING is SATISFIED in Christ! Jesus IS “living water” or “the water of life” in John Chapter 4 when talking to the woman at the well. John 4:10 NLT – 10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” Vs. 13-14 – 13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, 14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John Chapter 7 – He referred to the Holy Spirit as “Rivers of living water.” John 7:37-39 NLT – 37 On the last and greatest day of the festival, (Feast of Tabernacles) Jesus stood and said in a loud voice, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink.38 Whoever believes in me, as Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them.” 39 By this he meant the Spirit, whom those who believed in him were later to receive. Up to that time the Spirit had not been given, since Jesus had not yet been glorified. Hunger is satisfied FOREVER! The Tree of life lines the river of living water with 12 crops of fruit each month… leaves are used to heal (or translated as “Health giving”) (It’s for therapy… to sooth the soul!) No Curse! A Holy and Perfect God and the Lamb, Perfect Environment, Perfect People, Perfect Work, Perfect Leadership, Perfect Administration, Perfect Submission & Obedience, Perfect Service, Perfect Trust and Perfect Praise & Worship of God FOREVER! Absolute, complete and perfect holiness and righteousness! Perfect Relationship! Vs. 4 – They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. That emptiness, void… that longing and desire we’ve all felt… (That we fill up with the things of the world!
